Chaperone Information/Expectations
Please meet us in the courtyard between the NC History Museum and the NC Natural Science Museum (on the end towards West Jones St.) at 9:55 am. Each chaperone will be assigned a small group of children (including your own child) and will be responsible for leading them around the museum to investigate the displays and attractions.
**Please make sure you …..
1. Enforce school/classroom expectations and feel free to let the teacher in charge know if there are any issues at all. Students know what is expected of them (i.e. use inside voices, walk, only touch those things that are appropriate to touch, stay in assigned areas and with chaperones, etc).
2. Do not allow student to go to the museum gift shop. This will waste valuable time that your group could be using to experience the museum. Students are not to bring money on the field trip.
If you are interested in being a chaperone for this field trip, please fill out and return the bottom portion of this page. Please remember that you MUST have already completed the Wake County background check in order to be a chaperone. Your child’s teacher will contact you with further details.
