Your child brought home a permission slip on 10/4 for our November 18th field trip to the NC History Museum. This MUST be turned in by October 17th or your child will not be able to attend. The cost of the trip is $8.00. Chaperone forms are also due on the 17th. You will be informed if you are approved to chaperone on 11/1.
Chaperones will pay the $5.35 entrance fee at the museum. If you are interested in chaperoning you need to make sure you register as a volunteer online, at the school, between 8:30am and 4pm to get proper clearance. Obtaining clearance may take some time, so please complete by October 14th. You will be notified on November 1st if you are approved and can chaperone. If you did not register last year, this process may take longer. Reminder - you must register every year.

This will be an ongoing program throughout the year, so please feel free to contribute food as you are able. The following is a list of suggested items we are asking for. Please do not send in products with nuts if possible. Please be sure to watch expiration dates. There will be a box near the lobby to collect the donated food items. meats/protein (single serve size-spaghetti, ravioli, tuna fish, canned chicken, beans, etc) snacks (individual servings-raisins, pretzels, chewy granola bars, granola bars, etc.) pasta/noodles (macaroni and cheese, ramen, etc.) juice or shelf stable milk (individual size juice, fruit juice boxes, milk boxes) canned vegetables and canned fruits (pop top or easy open cans preferred) breakfast items (cereal bars, individual size cereal boxes, oatmeal, grits, etc.) Thank you in advance for helping with this project.
