To help you prepare with your child for the 4th grade EOG test on Thursday, May 21st, we have attached an EOG Reading Practice test. The answer key is also included. To give you an idea of the length of this test, the last Case test they completed was 45 reading comprehension multiple choice questions. This would be similar in length. We recommend printing this practice assessment and working on it a passage at a time. Please make sure you hold on to the answer key for your self keeping :) Then correct your child's work and have them correct any problems that were incorrect. Talking about each problem really helps the students understand how to come to the correct answer. We will send another sample test at the beginning of May as well for more practice. Please also be aware that students should be completing at least 3 achieve3000 articles with a 75% or higher (the first time they answer activity questions) every week. Students have a calendar to record their scores and the dates they complete the articles. There is time to work on this at school but I STRONGLY RECOMMEND they complete 1-3 a week at home. These passages and questions are VERY similar to the type of passages students get on the EOG. The more practice with different passages and vocabulary, the more prepared your child will be. It is a tremendous resource that is paid for by the county. Feel free to read along a passage with them and look at the questions they solve on this program!
