We are looking forward to meeting everyone on Wednesday from 4-6 pm. You can bring your supplies and drop them off in your homeroom.
We will be also be sharing information about the BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) program for 4th & 5th graders at Meet the Teacher. If you think you may be interested in having your child bring their own device, please bring the device on Wednesday in order to log it onto our network. You will be given a contract for you and your child to sign. You can read more about the BYOD program on our school website. All 4th & 5th grade students and parents are encouraged to come to this meeting, a new contract needs to be signed yearly. Students cannot bring a device to school without a signed contract. Cell phones and Ipod touches are not allowed this year. If you have any questions, feel free to email us (see email addresses in the right hand column). We are looking forward to a year filled with learning & fun. Students in fourth and fifth grade are permitted to bring their personal laptops and tablets as part of our BYOD program. Teachers will be sharing information about this program at Meet the Teacher on August 24th from 4-6. Weather
Please be sure your child wears a jacket to school. We go out for recess unless it is below 32 degrees. Math Homework There will be no math homework next week. ELA Homework Reading: Read 20 minutes daily POW: No POW next week! Achieve 3000: Students are required to pass 2 more activities scoring 75% or higher. Achieve homework must be completed by THURSDAY evenings by 10:00 pm. Scholastic Books The book orders are due by January 22. You may order online with a credit card, or send in the paper order with a check payable to Scholastic Books. If your child has a coupon attached to their Scholastic order, please be sure they pick a book & turn it into Mrs. George.
